Choosing The Right Eyewear Has A Big Impact On The Outdoor Activities You Love!

It’s Important to find eyewear that complements your sport or recreation.

Your daily eyewear may not always work well for the sports and activities you love. As an outdoor or sports enthusiast, it can be confusing to know which eyewear will make for a comfortable and safe excursion. We put together some tips to help you out!

Find a good pair of exercise-friendly glasses

There are many eyewear options for active lifestyles. If you love to hike, bike, rock climb, kayak, or enjoy other action sports, you’ll need a snug fit for your glasses. Wraparound designs work quite well because they don’t slide around as much on your face compared to other designs. As an added benefit, they can also decrease sun and dust exposure!

It’s important to understand the different lens options you can choose from. Polarized lenses minimize glare from the sun, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings even more. Polycarbonate lenses are typically better for action sports because they are shatter-resistant.  Mirror lenses help block sun glare, which is especially important at high altitudes and in the snow. If you want to avoid changing glasses throughout the day, try photochromic lenses. These will darken when exposed to sunlight and lighten indoors or at night.

Certain lens coatings can also be beneficial. An anti-scratch coating will keep lenses scratch-free while hydrophobic and anti-fog coatings will reduce the distracting effects of the elements. Even after reading this article, you’re probably overwhelmed by all the different options! That’s okay. We’re here to help you find the right eyewear, for every activity or occasion.

Try contact lenses instead
